Masaryk University Students Dive into Real-World AI Projects with Newsmatics Partnership

Newsmatics and Masaryk University’s Faculty of Economics and Administration have forged a partnership to engage students in real-world business and artificial intelligence projects starting in the fall of 2026. This collaboration in Brno, Czech Republic, will allow student teams to work on current projects by Newsmatics, utilizing the company’s data and technology tools. Their research and findings will be presented to Newsmatics leadership, with the potential for some projects to be implemented practically.

The initial projects are expected to focus on assessing marketing effectiveness, pinpointing potential customers, evaluating new markets, enhancing sales through AI, and selecting suitable AI tools for customer service. Additionally, students will explore ways to enhance communication with various customer segments. This initiative expands on Newsmatics’ existing partnerships with Masaryk University’s Faculty of Informatics and Faculty of Social Studies, which have involved software engineering, artificial intelligence, and data science projects. Some students from these collaborations have gone on to pursue professional opportunities with Newsmatics.

As part of the new agreement, Newsmatics employees will engage with students through classroom activities, sharing their expertise in AI, global news monitoring, and media technology product development. The program aims to provide students with opportunities for paid internships, part-time positions, thesis projects based on company assignments, and potential employment with Newsmatics post-graduation.

David Rothstein, CEO of Newsmatics, emphasized that the partnership is designed to offer students the chance to apply their ideas to practical business challenges, gaining experience outside the classroom environment. This aligns with Newsmatics’ mission to foster innovation and practical learning through collaboration.

Newsmatics, headquartered in Washington, D.C., is a news technology company specializing in information discovery, distribution, monitoring, and analysis. Its suite of products includes EIN Presswire, Newsmatics News Index, Affinity Group Publishing, and Perspectify, all aimed at enhancing the global news landscape.
