The breakthrough came when Zak Sturge inadvertently turned Issa Kaboré’s cross into his own net, putting Wrexham ahead in the first half. Kieffer Moore then extended their lead with a powerful 20-yard strike shortly after the break. Jacques Ekomié sealed the emphatic win with a close-range finish, ensuring a convincing triumph for the visitors.
For Millwall, the defeat marked a troubling trend, having now conceded eight goals in their last two games, following a promising start of two consecutive clean-sheet victories. Their challenges were further exacerbated by injuries to key players, striker Josh Coburn and midfielder Casper De Norre.
In other Championship action, QPR continued their impressive form with a 2-1 win over Cardiff at Loftus Road. Rumarn Burrell was the hero for QPR, netting both goals, while Perry Ng managed to score for Cardiff. This victory propelled QPR to 10 points from their opening four matches.
Elsewhere, Burnley and Middlesbrough played out a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor. Aidan Morris gave Middlesbrough the lead in the first half, only for Burnley’s Ugo Raghouber to equalise soon after the interval. Charlton also maintained their unbeaten record with a 1-1 draw against West Brom. Callum Styles put West Brom ahead before Tyreece Campbell levelled the score in the second half.
